Shrimp Bisque Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1-tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 red pepper chopped

  • ˝-cup chopped onion

  • 1-pound raw or cooked shrimp

  •  1 cup of freshly chopped tomatoes

  •  ˝-table spoon of salt

  •  1 tablespoon of butter and grated cheese to garnish.

 

Shrimp bisque is a classic soup for all special occasions. This is a low fat and high protein recipe suited for all. The preparation time for this recipe is 15 minutes and cooking time takes around 20 minutes. You need a saucepan and a blender for cooking.

The ingredients needed for this recipe are listed above.  First, add olive oil in a saucepan and heat it. Then add red pepper and onions in the olive oil and sauté on medium heat for 5-9 minutes. Now add the shrimp and other ingredients in the saucepan and allow boiling for few minutes. Then by reducing the heat start stirring the mixture for few minutes. Now add butter to it and transfer the contents to a blender. Process this hot mixture in the blender at a high speed for 10-12 seconds.

After 10-12 seconds, transfer the shrimp bisque to a bowl. Sprinkle the grated cheese on the bisque. You can use additional garnishes like chopped green onion or red pepper.
